1760 Log House – The Lawrence Homestead
An attempt to unlock the history and mysteries surrounding our Pennsylvania pre-Revolutionary War log house which dates to 1760.
Wonder what is the blue barrel. Is the coroner going to dig in what is left of the basement here?
I’m sure it was probably just garbage in the blue barrel. That’s the barn that was across the street, not this house. We called the coroner and left a message tonight trying to find out what’s going on with the bones, the only way they’ll come out to dig I guess is IF they are human. As far as I know though, it would only be our house, not the barn. Right now the foundation is filled with a ton of debris from when the were removing the logs.
I knew that was the barn and not your house and now am wondering after checking my maps is that Route 34 in the pictures? Love the old maps you posted.
Thanks! I did one over top of the Google maps to give a rough estimate as to how our house sits in relation to what the original piece of property was. And yes, Route 34!
