Hi, if you see my answer above I cannot say if "my" John Lawrence is the same one from Virginia (if that is the one you are referring to) because that John Lawrence was born in 1725 and "my" John Lawrence was referenced in 1929 as being someone who traded with the Native Americans so the age would not match.

Dear Paul Lawrence,

In this data provided me herewith above, are you indicating
in general to someone else besides me that this data belongs to someone other than myself OR does this family belong to my Lawrence family?

I am interested in learning about all Lawrence families; however, I have a sincere need to know where my Lawrences
were prior to Caroline County, Virginia, as I have had this brick wall in beyond Caroline County Virginia.

If this is my family, it is indeed a great contribution as none other anyone has ever endowed me in my ancestry research.

Thanks for clearing this matter up for me as it is difficult to digest that this may be my family.

Sincerely,

Nita Davidson

To: Genevieve McNew

Hello Ms. McNew,
I am in awe at your generosity of provision of Lawrence Family residence and involvment in their community for others; however,
I am interested in knowing anything about my Lawrence family, aside from the names being correct for my Lawrence family ancestors....it is imperative before getting even more excited about this possibility of being my family...,Do you know if this is the
Lawrence Family whom eventually settled in Caroline County, VA?
My reason for asking, not doubting your data, but to come to know if this information about your house of which was occupied by, perhaps, my Lawrence family. I will completely review every location of which you provide Lawrence Family Data, are you related to this family? I do; however, need your guidance and provision of everywhere I may find additional information on my ancestors, are you related?

I can not properly convey to you my true deep gratitude for contaacting me and your kindness to assist me in learning more about my family. Do you have additional family member names?

Again Thanking you so very much,

Nita Davidson

Hello, thank you for the link as I had not seen that tree, though it looks like it may be incorrect. One of the pieces of information I have not uploaded yet references a John Lawrence in Lancaster County, which is what this was considered before 1750, as early as 1729/1730 as a suitable person to trade with the Indians". Also, Joseph was not born in Washington County, as far as I know John Lawrence was never out there.

This appears to be your Joseph Lawrence: http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/28077775/person/12086870987?ssrc=
His father John appears to have been born near Staunton, VA , in the Shenandoah Valley in 1725. It's conceivable that he was a descendant of the John Lawrences of England, Va and NC.

There are a number of Lawrence genealogies documented through Y-DNA on this site: http://www.lawrence-ons.org/ Some of them have connections with the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states, including PA. My family line in VA is descended from a John Lawrence in England who died about 1638 and his grandson in Virginia, but that is probably just a coincidence. Most of my line lived in VA and NC.
